Beekman Fire District Annual Commissioner’s Election

LEGAL NOTICE FOR FIRE DISTRICT ANNUAL ELECTION

DECEMBER 13, 2022

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Annual Election of the Beekman Fire District will take place on December 13, 2022 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM at the Beekman Fire House located at 316 Beekman Poughquag Road, Poughquag, NY for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a 5-year term commencing on January 1, 2023, and ending on December 31, 2027.  Candidates for District Office shall file their signed petition with the Secretary of the Fire District, Debra Kunzelman, Beekman Fire District, 316 Beekman-Poughquag Road, Poughquag, NY 12570 no later than November 23, 2022. All duly registered residents of the Beekman Fire District shall be eligible to vote.

Public Hearing on 2023 Preliminary Budget

BUDGET HEARING NOTICE Please take notice that the Beekman Board of Fire Commissioners budget hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 7:00 PM. This hearing will take place at the Beekman Fire District Headquarters, 316 Beekman-Poughquag Road, Poughquag, New York. A copy of the budget is available for inspection at the headquarters building or at the Town Hall, with the Town Clerk.

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Beekman Fire District in the Town of Beekman, Dutchess County, New York, has on the 29th day of June, 2022, duly adopted the resolution attached hereto and published herewith, subject to a permissive referendum. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE FROM CAPITAL EQUIPMENT RESERVER FUND
RESOLVED, the purchase of one Sport Utility Vehicle and related equipment and accessories (the “Vehicle”) at a cost not to exceed $75,000.00 is hereby authorized, and it is further RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 6-g of the General Municipal Law, there is hereby appropriated from the capital equipment reserve fund of the Beekman Fire District in the Town of Beekman, Dutchess County, New York, the sum not to exceed $75,000.00 to pay for and be applied toward the purchase price of the Vehicle and related equipment and accessories. The foregoing resolution is adopted subject to a permissive referendum.
