The Beekman Fire Department is united in its mission, the allocation of resources and its management is distributed to best meet that goal in the most efficient manner. Our members respond to all fire, rescue and medical emergencies. Many members belong to more than one squad which adds to the cooperative strength of the department. The Beekman Fire Company is divided into 3 squads, the Engine Company, Rescue Squad and Fire Police Squad, and Auxiliary who support the entire company through its tireless efforts in fund raising, refreshments provided during incidents and extended drills and training exercises. We are grateful to have these fine men and women always in the background but never overlooked working for us.
The volunteer firefighters, rescue squad members, fire police and auxiliary members give to the town countless hours of time through maintaining the fire station, trucks and equipment, weekly drills and business meetings. We also participate in the annual Community Day held at the Recreation Center, community CPR training and Fire Safety events at the Elementary school. Many of our members also support the local sports programs including little league baseball and soccer.
